Morning on my side of the world and you know what that means GREEN SMOOTHIE TIME!!! Though every green drink is important to me, today I am really in need of some belly soothing plant medicine.

Though the holiday season is lots of fun, all the yummy food has been a violation on my tummy. I am just not used to eat so much on such a short notice. It is going to be a long day at the bakery. We were closed the past 2 days but exceptionally open on Thursday this week.

Already looking forward to our week off in 2 weeks. Though we have nothing planned, we haven't had much time off since we started the bakery in May and now with the high season in full swing, we all feel we need a break.

But hey we are not complaining at all. In such a short time our little baby has grown to be one of the more successful places in town.

Hope you all had a great time so far. Ready for the new year? We sure are.

But let's talk green morning drink as my belly really needs it today!

TROPICAL AFTER XMAS BELLY SOOTHER 🌴✨🌸

INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2 FOR BREAKFAST)


2 cups bok choy
1 cup fresh moringa leaves or use moringa powder instead
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2-3 tbsp old-fashioned rolled oats
2 cups pineapple
1 mango
Water as needed

DIRECTIONS


  1. Place bok choy and water in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add all other ingredients and blend again. If you have a high -speed blender you can throw everything in at once. If the smoothie is too thick for you at more water.
  2. Optional: top with superfoods like chia seeds, hemp hearts, or goji berries if you like. I used coconut flakes and goji berries this time.
