Good morning steemit! How are you all today? My week's holiday is coming to an end. Tomorrow it is back to work. We feel so relaxed and reloaded, ready for anything. A new chapter in the bakery, preparing for the high season.

But let's not think about work just yet and enjoy another lovely day in the Kingdom of Wonders. Though we have nothing planned other than picking up my bike from the mechanics, I am sure will have a blast of a last day after this amazing antioxidant packed morning drink.

BLUEBERRY, CARROT & SOURSOP MORNING LOVE 🥕🌱🍇

  • BLUEBERRIES are an antioxidant powerhouse, including phenols, flavonoids, and anthocyanins. Next, to these free radical fighting substances, blueberries are packed with essential nutrients such as dietary fiber, manganese, thiamine, riboflavin, copper, vitamin E, K, C, and B6. It even has some protein too.

  • SOURSOP known for its cancer-fighting properties, this tropical favorite of mine is not only super delicious but loaded with many essential nutrients and antioxidants - including protein, fiber, vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, iron, and thiamine - to keep your body in the perfect condition.

  • PAPAYA SEEDS contain nutrients that help heal liver cirroshis, improve kidney health, and prevent renal failure. Their anti-inflammatory properties help soothe chronic pain coming from arthritis and joint diseases. Papaya seeds also contain an alkaloid called carpaine that kills intestinal worms and amoeba parasites. Not unimportant when you live in the tropics ;)

INGREDIENTS (SERVES 2 FOR BREAKFAST)


  • 1 cup bok choy
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 cups soursop
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup papaya (I added some of the seeds too for its anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory properties)
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • Freshly grated ginger to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Optional toppings: goji berries and coconut flakes

DIRECTIONS


  1. Blend bok choy and water until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick, add more liquid base. If you have a high-speed blender, throw in everything at once.
  2. Optional: top with toppings of your choice. I used dried goji berries and coconut flakes this time.
