Do you guys celebrate the Chinese new year too? Cambodia actually has three new year celebrations. The one we just had, Chinese new year in a month or 2-3 and around April its Khmer new year too... they do love to celebrate, though!

We do celebrate Chinese New Year according to the lunar calendar but it's earlier on 28th Jan. 28th and 29th of Jan will be public holiday. Many shops will be closed on those 2 days. The decorations are rushed out close to after Christmas because this year, it's earlier. It's mainly celebrated by the Chinese but every loves a holiday. The other ethnic group have their holiday which varies year by year according to their calendar but the rest are same day annually. This is the list for 2017 http://www.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/public-holidays
