HALLOWEEN CREEPY FINGERS !!

These amazing Halloween Witch Fingers are perfect for any Halloween Party. They look sooo real and creepy but actually are very delicious cookies with almonds. 

If Halloween night were to find you in a misty graveyard, suddenly feeling the touch of ghoulish fingers on the back of your neck, those fingers would probably bear a strong resemblance to these creepy confections with dirty almonds standing in for fingernails.

Ingredients :

225 gr OR 1 cup sugar 

225 gr OR 1 cup butter/margarine

1 large egg

1 tbsp vanilla extract 

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg 

1 tsp baking powder

400 gr OR 3 1/2c flour + 1/3 c for dusting 

Cocoa powder for spreading

Almond shavings ( fingernails)

Directions: 

Step 1 : In your stand mixer or electric mixer cream butter and sugar for 3 min until nice and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, nutmeg, baking powder and cinnamon. Mix slightly.

Step 2 : Add flour, mix until the dough just mixed. It should be sticky but not stick to your hands. 

Step 3 : Place dough in fridge for 1 hour. Pinch the dough and create the finger shape, i usually do it smaller than my finger. Add almond onto each cookie. 

Step 4 : Its better if you place your fingers on parchment paper to prevent sticking. 

Step 5 : Preheat your oven to 170 C OR 325 F. Place cookies in the oven and cook for 7-12 minutes. This will depend on the cookie shape/size. Smaller cookies cook faster. Cook until the edges are just brown.

Step 6 : Let cookies (fingers) cool down, and brush them lightly with cocoa powder. Enjoy!
