Homecook Express: Spaghetti Carbonara

I have shared few homecook express recipes that I hope can help you whenever you are in need. You can find the list at the bottom of this post. Do try it, and I hope your family loves it too.

Today, I wish to introduce you to a simple spaghetti carbonara recipe that will be one of the best simple easy to do recipe you’ve ever tried. This recipe is fast and easy with just a few ingredients to create a luxuriously creamy carbonara sauce just by adding milk. It takes approximately 30 mins to make, so you can have lunch/dinner ready on the table in less than an hour, perfect if you want a homemade but don’t have much time.

With this simple Carbonara recipe, you can treat your friends and family a tasty dish that do not take too much of your time. I have tested in my kitchen and my 2 kids easily finished clean the entire pan, so you know it's going to be a hit with your friends or family!

Total time: 30 mins

Ingredients
500g Spaghetti
5 garlic, peeled and chopped
5 sausages - chicken/beef (I used chicken)
350 g Prego carbonara sauce
1 cup Fresh milk (Thickness of sauce to your desire. Can add more)
250g Cauliflower (Nice if have Broccoli also. I cannot find any in the market today).
1 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling, salted water and add little bit oil so it doesn't stick, can also refer to packet instructions. Once cooked, immediately drain well.
  2. Meanwhile, peeled and chopped the garlics.
  3. Sliced sausages and fried till brown.
  4. Cut the cauliflower to chunks

5-Steps Method
'1) Put oil in a large pan and fry garlic for a minute then add cauliflower. Continue to fry over a fairly high heat for 3-4 mins. Fry until they both brown. Add salt to taste.

'2) Add the prego carbonara sauce, fry one-minute.

'3) Add the fresh milk, bring to boil for 5 minutes.

'4) Add the fried sausages, mixed well.

'5) Then reduce the heat, add spaghetti, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5-minutes.

Walla... Ready to serve.

Sprinkle Parmesan cheese to add to the taste (optional).
