Only the Crumbliest, Flakiest Chocolate
Do you remember that old Cadbury's Flake advert - "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate. Tastes like chocolate never tasted before." Well this shot reminds me of that.
There's a girl, in a field and OK there's no drawing pad or rain drops but there are loads of poppies.

What a wonderful place to take a break and have moments with yourself and free your mind.
I was a wonderful place and doubly special as I was feeling very down that day I remember so my partner took me out for a drive and we just happened to drive by this field. It was just what I needed to list my spirits.

Excellent photos. It's so good you did it. More red. A very large field. It is interesting to see the change of scenery is when it is still green, but there comes a time when everything around blossoms and turns red. Very pleasant. Thank you for sharing.

Spectacular!
Great capture...The buds and the blooms really show the 'before and after' unfolding. I can only smh to know that these beauties are at the center of an ongoing war; and, the primary ingredient in the opiod crisis in the U.S.

Thanks @spiritualmatters. Not a roadside pic although it was a case of driving past, seeing the poppies and having to get out of the car to take some shots. Fortunately the field was big enough to not get loads of photographers in the picture as lots of people driving past had the same idea. 😊
What I've not been able to work out is what the significance of the poppies is. Every year we're pretty much assured of finding at last one field in the vicinity but it's never the same one.
These are not opiod poppies though so that can't be their significance. They;re too small. 😊
Aha!...Good to know. I thought they all were a helpful medicinal for severe pain.
It's interesting to learn that these are wild. This reminds me of one of my favorite movies of all times: The Wizard of Oz.

You're right. Opiod poppies are used for severe pain. It's where codeine and morphine come from, for example. But it is a speciic type of popper. Not your common or garden type. 😊
