Ako´s Yellow Roses - My First Flower Entry To The Contest of Flamingirl
When we got our rottweiler puppy named AKO in 1994, we also had this small rose plant that was to be planted in the garden at that time. It is still growing now and its bush is around 25 years old. Season after season, it is bearing huge clusters of flowers. We named it Ako´s Yellow Roses.

This is actually a rose variety from David Austin that is called Graham Thomas. He was a great horticulturist and a famous book writer on gardening. He and David Austin were friends and this rose was especially cultivated and dedicated to him.
I hope you like my yellow roses, they are always part of our gardening journey and has been there giving us so much joy during summertime. We love its lovely scent, too!

What a beautiful photo! Are those candlesticks on either side of your vase full of roses? They are gorgeous. All my favorite things here.... Books and yellow roses! I've tried growing them but my yard is simply too shady for them. I love the story of your roses.
Hello Melinda dear.... it is a pair of decanters we found at the flea market each was designed in the art nouveau or art deco style. The dealer said they are old, we didn´t really mind if they are vintage or not, we got them because we found them lovely. Since then, I used both for my photography on wildflower arrangements. Appreciate that you dropped-by. Thank you.

A question tho,,, I have been upvoting for some of the comments on my post and even if I use the slider say to 100% the upvote amount does not appear here (???).
It's not just you. I have noticed the votes being wonky. I think I have voted and go back later and there is no vote from me. I unistalled V2 app and have gone back to using Legacy. V2 is not stable yet. It will be a wonderful day when everything here works with no glitches!
