RE: BEST video on the Flat Earth Theory... Why do YOU believe the earth is round? - Anarchast

in #flatearth7 years ago

Has anyone here watched The Principle? It's really good and has a lot to do with this. I'm a flat earther, and basically anything "gravity" does can be explained with buoyancy and density. There is no evidence of a curve. Gravity is an unproven theory, and oceans sticking to a spinning ball requires it.

Sort:

The Principle is good, and so is their longer one Journey to the Center of the Universe. One can learn much from their perusal (and animations!) of the ether drift experiments and the imposition of relativity, but they also avoid that which counters their hypothesis, such as data indicating the CMB is caused by Earth's water content and is not a remnant of some mythical Big Bang. I respect their work but don't agree with their conclusions.

Watch the video I posted here, it shows a buoyancy experiment on a plane performing a microgravity maneuver which directly counters your claim. While gravity can't be explained its effects can definitely can be calculated and engineered, claiming it doesn't exist because the theory isn't proven is a logical fallacy.

Curvature is measured and seen daily, even thought the flat earth hypno-vids keep claiming the opposite. Check all your facts before making claims!

Gravity is an unproven theory? Let me help you there: grab your phone and throw it as high as you can. What happens? Did it come back? If so, gravity is proven. You are welcome.

sorry but that's just density, the phone is denser than the surrounding air. Why is gravity needed there. And how do you explain helium balloons, does gravity have some weird aversion to helium? Everything can be explained with density and buoyancy, gravity is only needed to make water stick to a spinning ball. Which would mean water would curve, which it doesn't. Nice try though.
