Challenge Completed - Chest and Back Day 600 reps on September 18th

in #fitnesschallenge6 years ago (edited)

Last night was two consecutive nights in a row, the best that I have done in like 3 months now. I can really feel that drive coming back now which I did lose for a while, but this does happen every winter except it's normally not this bad.
I have to admit watching body building documentaries really helps give me a bit of extra steam, I find watching people train seems to give me the drive to want to go and train.

I'm still sort of taking it easy but did go a little harder last night, really need to get back to where I was a few months ago.
I'm still able to muster up some really good lifts hitting 120kgs or 264 pounds for 8 reps which is a fairly solid effort considering how much time I had off.
I have noticed when having an extended time off from training if you keep up your eating and get plenty of protein you can still maintain good muscle mass. The strength and endurance of the muscles does drop off though.
