A Physically Fit Youth

Students benefit from the physical activities in the school but after their graduation, they are less likely to be engaged in such activities. During summer, children will surely play under the sun but newly advanced technology makes them sit on a comfortable sofa while playing their favorite video games. The worst part is they eat too much sugars that lessen the appetite for wholesome foods. Some of the teenagers today suffer the effects of obesity. Some children in poor countries have malnutrition problems. Also, people prefer now eating too much processed foods.

There are some scientific studies that show, a person's lifestyle during his early life reflects the condition of his body in the later life. So if you are an unhealthy child, what will your adulthood look like?

The answer is not sure. But if you continue the unhealthy way of living until you grow up, you may experience many illnesses. A child who loves to eat fatty tissues of the meat has the highest probability of experiencing high blood in his later life. While a child that lacks in calcium, skeletal problems await him.

As a youth, how can we become physically fit despite the will of just sitting on the couch while playing an online game or eating all the foods that you can find in fast food chains.

A child has more to do in life than an adult who is already going back home.

That's a common idiomatic adage. A child can do more things in life!


Turn Easy Life to Exercise!

Young men can walk longer than old men do. Some of students today ride vehicles to reach their schools instead of using their bicycles or walking distances. Today's life is easy, there are elevators, escalators, and fast vehicles that can bring us to our desired destinations easily without sweat. But instead of using those, we can climb stairs that can physically benefit to us. Also, we can walk some meters and ride if you are already tired.

Turn your easy life to an exercise. Do not depend on human-made machines always. But use your own machine, your body!


Foods Manipulation

During teenager, appetite grows more and craves for more foods. Remember, do not always follow your appetite, it does not dictate how much foods your body needs. Also, being full is not a sign that your body had the enough needed foods nor you need to eat more, obviously.

In order to know the needed foods of your body, calculate the calories that you need to eat based on your size, physical activities, and how much you eat foods.

If you cannot take control on eating, make sure you are doing exercises to reduce fats that could be add to your weight.

NOTE: Teenagers should drink 4 or more cups of milk. If milk is not available, you can replace cheese and ice cream.

Also, do not forget in a meal, you should combine all the needed foods from different groups of nutritious and raw materials. Add vitamin C in your daily consumptions!


Time for Snacks!

Learn to calculate the calories of your snacks too because it may cause bad implications for your appetite and normal rhythm of your digestive system.


Exercises

Teenagers can do various exercises because their bodies are already developing to become adults. But you should follow the F.I.T.T Principles to guide you in your exercises.

Too much exercises have bad effects for a teenager.


Always remember, a physically fit youth has the lowest chance of having illnesses. So enjoy life in a healthy way!
