Paint Your Portrait
“The only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.” – Robert H Schuller
I have always been fascinated by the human anatomy and the way athletes move, especially in kickboxing. At art school I studied anatomy extensively to become a 3D sculptor and I also studied the mechanics of human movement for my focus on animation. I've also always been into a lot of sports and am one of those people who just pick apart every motion, every angle, trying to understand the impact of one motion at a certain angle and speed.
A few years ago my sister competed in body building and told me I should get into fitness photography. At the time I didn't really think about it much or really understood it and how popular it was. Now years later I finally came up with my own style that maybe hopefully I can carry on later down the road.
I've always been inspired by Elena Shumilova for her slice of life and surreal artistic style of photography. Each one of her shot I would describe as a painting. Now years later, I've been getting the same comments from people, describing my work to be like a painting, which makes me fulfilled and accomplished. I'm not quite there yet, but hopefully one day I will reach that mile stone.

Allowing the background to remain so out of focus does give off an impressionist feel. The lighting alows for great contrast for the muscle tone on her arms and abs. Thanks for sharing, congrats on finding your unique viewpoint!
Thanks so much. I appreciate that comment! I'm still constantly learning :)
