Her use of given elements from the beginning, the realizations of her character, Cassandra (love this name), and the reason for the beggar's vigil made her ending my favorite for this week.
I'm going with @maverickinvictus this week. I like the way he unraveled time. I was able to follow him all the way back to the beginning of the Word--until it ended. Don't think that was easy trick to manage, and still create a coherent story line.
The last line, Apocalypse now, was perfect.

I liked so much her writing, the anaphoric image of "Kansas" and the ascension-like closing!
