Samurai, Emerald Honor
The process of creating Emerald Honor included a number of pencil and ink sketches. The final concept was a combination of two of the original drawings. I wanted a strong central subject, who would be supported by a cast of characters. From the beginning, I felt that acrylic would be the best choice for the finished painting. It is a tradition of mine to conceal images within my work. This creation falls within that tradition. Enjoy your search, and thank you for viewing my work. ( Image 2 shows full Illustration)

Image 3 - Riders were designed in an effort to support the main character's story, and to aesthetically balance the composition with color, value, and implied line.
Thank you for posting @rockykelley.
Lovely....intense....forboding....well executed art.
All the best.
Cheers.
Your kindness is much appreciated @bentleycapital . I hope to repay as I learn this new system. Blessings
I see a phoenix or hummingbird or something similar between the horns of the helm, but it's rather obvious. The other black bird though is a bit more obscure, to the left side of the picture, near the samurai's shoulder. There could be other hidden images in the green areas, but it's too abstract; you can see anything in there...
I like the colors are lot, the warm oranges and the cool blues at the edges. And the samurai's expression is a bit sad, making the whole more dark and intense. Great painting!
