When a movie catches my attention I always use Google to find reviews. If after an extensive research it amazes me without hesitation I start watching it. At that time I was trying to accomplish my goal of finishing "IMDB Top 250 of All times" and I stumbled upon “A Beautiful Mind”. I thought I was through and through with the list but somehow missed this. Then I noticed it had four Academy awards in its pocket. I always thought Oscars was overrated but this drew my attention and drew it hard.

A young John Nash(Russell Crowe) comes to Princeton with hopes of becoming a successful mathematician. But he is so well at mathematics that he develpes the New Concept of Governing Dynamics while he is still at university. Seeing his potential MIT offers him a job. He after some time passes by is invited to Pentagon and given task of cracking encrypted enemy transmission. What others took weeks he did in just moments. Amazed by this* William Percher (Ed Harris)* gives him a job of solving cryptography to topple soviet plans for harm to the US. While doing this job he meets a student Alicia ( Jennifer connely) . After both falling completely in love Nash proposes to her. After they marry Nash is found to be a patient of paranoid schizophrenia and every thing starts to go wrong with him.

Now as a biography of the original John Nash Russell Crowe was the best fit. But as a drama the story was somehow dull and rather too un-entertaining because of having moments that are not so much unique. Graduated , found a great job, married, had difficulties, then some more difficulties and then won the Nobel prize. A too common story and had 90 percent similarities with other biographys. But why was this movie a good movie? When you try to make a movie like this you have to keep just one thing in mind, you have to create perfectly similar unfolding story with the true one. Ron Howard did a wonderful job at that.

Based on a book written by Sylvia Nasar which is also a biography this movie delivered what it was supposed to. You don't expect “Horror” or “Sci-fie” elements out of biography. So if you are in need of some adrenaline rush this is not for you. You watch you think and then think some more and quietly forget about it with a slowly dissipating feeling of contempt. If you are up for that then enjoy.

this was game changer for all all people and I liked the different approach to film here

John Nash faced hard times in real life because of his issue of paranoid schizophrenia.. his survival with that was truly an amazing one..he wrote the theory on famous "coin game".and won a nobel prize... thank you for your comment..

Funny how many smart people are far from sane, I think over exposure to reality can drive you insane.

But its amazing to see that they are and will always be the special ones.... for example Stephen Hawking.
