Daily Movie Recommendation: Two Days, One Night (2014) aka Deux jours, une nuit,Genre- Drama🎬🎥
Today I selected the movie Two Days, One Night (2014) for the daily movie recommendation which is directed by the Dardenne brothers ( Jean-Pierre Dardenne, Luc Dardenne) being the first movie seen from them 5 days ago.
The reasons I decided to see this movie are:
- I saw that in the cast is Marion Cotillard and I like it that she plays also in European films besides the ones at Hollywood which are totally different
- the description of the movie sounded interesting and I was curious to see it
- the rating on imdb it was a good one of 7.4 even if this should not matter, often makes the difference but there are cases when it disappoints
Let's get started and see why I liked this movie and I'll explain a few things about it.
The movie starts with Sandra (Marion Cotillard), a factory worker from Liège (Belgium)who is a young wife and mother of two children wants to get back her job knowing that her colleagues voted the majority for her dismissal in favor of a 1000 euro bonus during her absence when she took a short free time due to a nervous breakdown.
She must be able to convince from majority of 16 of colleagues to vote for her over the course of the weekend a time too short for that considering her condition.
I really liked this movie because it's very realistic showing life as it is with good and with bad things without exaggerating the story.
I liked it very much how the main character fought for every person as if it were a life-and-death battle and also each colleague had an interesting story and you've managed to get everyone to know just after a few minutes of talks between them.
I liked that the movie was not long and managed to pass on what was necessary and the end of course I can not tell you but I can tell you that could not have been better than this and even if the movie has a few boring moments who does not feel so much and this is just my opinion and the end makes to forget about this thing and also the actors played very well and of course Marion Cotillard was on top, role for which she was nominated for Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role which she deserved.
In conclusion Two Days, One Night is a strong drama with a unique story and good actors who did their job very good offering a small piece of art for the modern cinema, and I'm curious about your opinions,also don't forget to request the movie genre which you like to be recommended for tomorrow.
