Togo (2019) – Movie Trailer

What a movie! It looks that it will pass under the radar, but it deserves much more attention. The movie Togo is coming from Walt Disney Studios kitchen, the trailer looks awesome, and it’s a perfect selection for watching on a Christmas holidays. Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe has done a great job as always, playing the main role in the movie. The film story is similar to the animated movie Balto from 1995, but still with some differences…

The movie is actually based on a true story about the dog Togo and his master Leonhard Seppala, who’s job was training sled dogs in Alaska. The story takes place in 1925, when Togo was leading the famous “serum run”… As a puppy, he was too small and weak, and nobody wanted to train him… But, as an adult dog he became one of the most important dogs in history...

The director of the movie is Ericson Core, a well-known cinematographer and director by the movies Point Break (2015), Invincible (2006) or The Fast and the Furious (2001). The screenplay is written by Tom Flynn, known for movies Watch It (1993), Highboys and Lowboys (1999) and awesome movie Gifted from 2017, with Chris Evans in the main role.

In the main roles are Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man (2002), The Florida Project (2017), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)), Julianne Nicholson (August: Osage County (2013), I, Tonya (2017), Black Mass (2015)), Christopher Heyerdahl (Stockholm (2018), TV Series Hell on Wheels (2011-2016), TV Series Tin Star (2017)), Thorbjørn Harr (TV Series Vikings (2013-2014), Bel Canto (2018), 22 July (2018)), Michael Gaston (First Reformed (2017), TV Series The Leftovers (2014-2017), The Man in the High Castle (2015-2018)) and others.
