Minions: The Rise of Gru (2020) – Movie Trailer

This summer the world’s most famous little yellow creatures are coming back to theaters! 10 years after the release of Despicable Me, the new movie named Minions: The Rise of Gru is throwing us into the history BEFORE the original movie. Also, it is interesting that this is the eleventh feature movie for Illumination Entertainment. Besides the standard actors' line-up, we will see (or hear) some of the legends of cinematography, like Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

The story follows a 12-year-old kid named Gru, who wants to become the world’s greatest supervillain. As he is still a boy, adults do not take him seriously, so he decides to steal an important amulet from the worst guys and prove that he is worth to become one of them… His little yellow minion army is always there to help… or to make it worse… :)

The movie is directed by BAFTA Film Award nominee Kyle Balda (Minions (2015), The Mask (1994), Mars Attacks! (1996)) and co-directed by Brad Ableson (The Simpsons artist) and Jonathan del Val (The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019)). The film is written by Brian Lynch (Minions (2015), The Secret Life of Pets (2016), Puss in Boots (2011)), by the characters of Cinco Paul (The Lorax (2012), Bubble Boy (2001), Horton Hears a Who! (2008)).

The voices in the animation movie are spared from Academy Award nominee Steve Carell (The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Foxcatcher (2014)), Oscar nominee Pierre Coffin (Minions (2015), Despicable Me 2 (2013), Despicable Me (2010)), Academy Award winner Alan Arkin (Argo (2012), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)), Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), Hustle & Flow (2005), Hidden Figures (2016)), Russell Brand (Arthur (2011), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Get Him to the Greek (2010)) and others famous actors.
