Selection of 20 Most Interesting Documentaries of last 15 years - Part 2: Titles I To Z

This is a second part of my documentary selection (for the previous part > click here< ).
I have picked my another 20 favorite documentaries from my home collection.
Part 2 includes the titles starting with letter I, up to letter Z.
Some of these documentaries are available to be watched online for free (there is no copyright issue), so I have added the links with full versions. The others include the links to the trailers - you can find full versions for most of these documentaries uploaded on YouTube, Vimeo or Daily Motion.


Lemmy (2010)

Awesome documentary about Heavy Metal and Rock legend Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister.


Making A Murderer (2015)

Famous Netflix documentary series following the lives of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey who have been convicted of the murder of Teresa Halbach


Merchants of Doubt (2014)

The explores the way giant corporations (such as tobacco industry and similar) have been manipulating public opinion and the governments in order to spread their profit driven pseudoscientific agenda.


Miss Representation (2011)

This film focuses on mainstream media role in conditioning our cultural values to revolve discrimination, exploitation and objectification of women.


Money As Debt (2006), Money As Debt 2 - Promises Unleashed (2009)

One of the most interesting introductory series explaining how our monetary system works and describes step by step the Fractional-reserve banking .


Paradise or Oblivion (2012)

One of the documentaries released by The Venus Project. Another very good introduction to Natural Law-Resource-Based Economy. Prequel to "The Choice Is Ours (2016).


Punk Britannia (2012)

One of critically acclaimed documentaries from BBC Four "Britannia" series documenting the invention and evolution of punk rock.


Religulous (2008)

Absolutely hilarious film by comedian Bill Maher analysing different religious ideologies. You will die laughing.


Saving Face (2012)

Shocking story about women mutilated by culturally driven misogynistic acid attacks in Pakistan and plastic surgeon Dr. Mohammad Jawad trying to reconstruct their faces.


Starsuckers (2009)

British documentary exposing mainstream media schemes and ridiculousness of our celebrity culture and concept of fame.


Steal This Film (2006), Steal This Film Part 2 (2007)

Very interesting documentary corporate control of intellectual property and it's war against freedom of information.


The Corporation (2003)

Documentary exploring the structure and activity of modern corporations as an analogy to sociopathy.
A bit older documentary but still very up-to-date.


The Cove (2009)

The story about cruel Taiji dolphin drive hunting - an annual slaughter of hundreds of dolphins in Taiji, Japan.
Very disturbing film.


The End of The Line (2009)

Eye opening documentary about degradation of our oceans and decimation of marine ecosystems and species caused by overfishing and pollution.


The Most Dangerous Man In America (2009)

Story of former Pentagon insider and whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg whose released infamous Pentagon Papers exposing the deceit and lies of the U.S. Government.


The Salt of The Earth (2014)

Nominated for the Academy Award. Mesmerizing and moving film about the life of famous Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado.


There Is No Tomorrow (2012)

Short YouTube documentary explaining humanity's ecocidal addiction and suicidal addiction to fossil fuels.


VICE on HBO - Episode 5 - The Future of Energy (2016)

One of the best episodes in Emmy nominated VICE on HBO series. In-depth look at future possibilities for making and using the energy.


Who Killed The Electric Car (2006)

This movie analyzes the history of electric car and it's well orchestrated death caused by automobile industry.


WikiRebels (2010)

Documentary about WikiLeaks - famous organization responsible for release of many important classified documents from the U.S. Government and it's agencies.

Great list @logic! I'm going to bookmark this and look for the full versions. I've only seen a couple of this list but they all sound incredibly interesting. Netflix coma is in my future. lol

No wonder 😀 I like the simple, animated way they used to explain it.
