Writers all over the world are in a constant struggle to release the next best selling book, millions of books are published each year by a vast number of writers.

We at Literature Trail realizes that everyone has that spark of talent inside of them and all they require is some form of motivation for it to shine through.

The Fifty Word Story Contest has been running non-stop for nine weeks now despite the Hard Fork and other Challenges.We have a special tenth week edition with bigger rewards and a guest judge

Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in six words, the result was a heart breaking story : For Sale, Baby Shoes, Never Worn.

 The contest is a way to encourage new steemians on the platform. The growth of steemit depends on their presence,this is what led to communinty building projects like @curie and this contest.

This contest is open to only Steemians with reputation 55 and lower.

RULES OF THE CONTEST

1 Contestants must be reputation 55 and below

2 Write your story using #fiftywords as your primary tag and the word of the week as your secondary tag, you can be creative with the remaining three tags.

3 Only one entry is allowed per contestant

You can write about an accessory

You can write about a product.

Guest Judge

We have a guest judge for the week and it is other person than the lovely @dreemit.

All entries must be submitted by 4pm New York Time On Wednesday May 10th.

 Prizes as follows 

First Place : 350 Trail coins and 15 Steem

Second Place: 200 Trail coins and 9 Steem

Third Place: 150 Trail coins and 6 Steem
