    I tried to put as much action as I could because I read you said in your post:

    I chose “Power of Life” by @marie-jay.
    This story achieves the very thing that is so difficult to do in 50 words: It puts us readers in a setting, with a cast of characters, a critical point in time when a drama is playing out, and a resolution.

    I'm not sure I succeeded (I don't have any resolution here,) but your comment now made me feel really happy.
