Trembling - A 50 words story
Bang!
She ushered the cubs into hiding as the human barks echoed through the woods. Whitetail had seen them before, the long black muzzle they held with their front paws. Its fiery shout—flying through the air—biting anything in its path.
The fear settled. Hunters could be hunted too.

You know, I just read this story for probably the third or fourth time, and I finally realized that Whitetail is the wolf mother! That is the power and mystery of a good 50-word story. It can reveal more when you read it again. For some reason I was confused before and thought "whitetail" was a deer, which I could not quite make sense of. I finally get it!
