A Witch’s Brew
A large pewter cauldron hangs above a flaming coal fire, its contents bubbling and hissing.
Additional ingredients are mixed in. The essence changes colour, from forest green to sludge brown.
A staggering smell of sulphur fills the room, following the billowing smoke in escaping through the hole in the ceiling.

For some reason I had this grotesque image of a person being cooked and out of the degradation of the human a devilish entity evaporates through the ceiling.
Wow you managed to make it sound really creepy.
Well, your description put that in my head, so I guess that's your creepiness working, or we can split the creepiness :)
