Pegasus (fiftyword challenge)
As the ground fell away Janet experienced a burst of pure terror. In front of her knees the vast wings beat steadily, pulling rider and beast up into the dizzying sky. One question played on endless repeat in Janet's head:
'What do you do if you fall off the horse?'

Love the humour angle at the end. And it's a good question! Hardly see that in fantasy, where the rider falls off on their first try on a pegasus. Can't be all too comfortable or secure to ride one, I'm sure.
Yeah, it's an interesting thought really... The mortality rate amongst trainee Pegasus riders must be pretty damn high 😂
Haha! Can you imagine the law suits of all those families against the Pegasus Academy? The trainers probably make the trainees sign some sort of waiver beforehand.
