There's an old saying in my town that goes: "splashing water is violence." It’s particularly odd, in my opinion. I've always wondered about it as I took a walk in the rain.

Well, your story is yours to do with as you wish! And this is not a contest, so there is no judging. :-)
That said, since it's a "50-word challenge" and the challenge is in fact to write a story in 50 words, I do encourage you to try it. It's great fun, and the work of hitting that 50 word target is a great stretch of one's writing skills!
