Amber settled into a slumped crouch on the beach next to the scooter, fighting back the tears she swore to never shed for Devon again. She'd spent the last four months crying her eyes raw, watching the love of her life die of pancreatic cancer and from this point forward, she wasn't going to do it anymore. Dev gave her a reason to continue living her miserable life and now he was gone.

Amber couldn't see the small, aluminum cylinder filled with Dev's ashes bobbing in the Pacific Ocean anymore. Before she sealed it and tossed it into the ocean, Amber placed a slip of paper inside; a paper Bitcoin wallet worth about ten thousand American Dollars currently. It had been his wishes, something written into his will and she was determined to comply with everything he's asked her to do when he finally passed away.

Accompanying the paper wallet was a sealed flash drive with some messages for whomever found it someday. Instructions how to access the Bitcoin and some details about his life. Devon Cryer was a weird guy she thought. A weird, wealthy twenty-four year old worth a ton of cryptocurrency that was now hers. It tore her to pieces to throw what was left of Dev into the water like that, but it was his final wish. She supposed he liked the idea of becoming a message in a bottle, eventually being discovered by some random person somewhere in the world. Tears rolled down her cheeks thinking about it for the last time. Then she smiled, realizing how absurd it all really was.

They'd gotten legally married three days before he passed in his hospital room attended only by Catholic Priest, Father Rodrigo Sanchez, Helen Mayes, the Charge Nurse on the Intensive Care Ward and Uncle Benny as witnesses. Dev wanted everything to be completely legal before he died. After all, he was leaving over $750,000 in cryptocurrencies to Amber, as well as an extensive ASIC and GPU-Based mining farm capable of staggering growth.

Dev's only next of kin was his brother Robert, who was sure to try and lay his hands on his siblings newly created tech-wealth. The two rarely spoke, but ever since Dev discovered how to turn electricity into a fortune, Robert showed all the signs of a gold digging family member, which Dev wanted to thwart at all costs. Marrying Amber and leaving it all to her was of the utmost importance to him as he lay on his death bed.

Devon constantly was trying to educate Amber about how the crypto world functioned. It had become his passion over the past couple of years, and besides loving Amber, was the only thing that enabled him to get his slowly deteriorating body out of bed every morning. Amber only wished she'd paid better attention looking back now. She understood how most of it worked, sort of.

She got how Bitcoin and the others functioned and how to trade them. She'd setup her own Poloniex and Bittrex accounts so she could trade, with Devon's help of course. Mining was a different story altogether though. She was able to get ASICs up and running OK, they were easy. Building a box from scratch and adding risers and GPUs to it was another story. Devon was passionate about GPU mining and tried relentlessly to teach Amber about the power they could provide a mining farm. He believed that Bitcoin was great to accumulate and store profits, but the ALT coins that could be hoarded early in their lifecycle, when they were easier to mine, was where the tremendous growth could be found. This required GPU miners and the knowledge to keep them all running correctly. This is where Uncle Benny played into all of this.

Benjamin Alton Russell was a legend in the Los Angeles homeless community. He wasn't actually related to anyone living on the streets of L.A., but was Uncle to countless many that owed him plenty, including Amber who would probably be dead or worse had it not been for Uncle Benny's guidance. Amber was seventeen years old and alone in The City of Angels when Benny befriended her. She'd been fired from the only job she was able to find, working at a Carl's Jr. fast food joint and was out of money. The only place she could turn was the Santa Monica beach dealers and selling meth, a return to the family business, so to say.

Amber's family was heavily connected to the Stone Crypt Biker Club in Detroit and in addition to typical underworld activities, they were major players in the methamphetamine trade there. Their reach extended throughout the midwest and into Ontario, Canada. Her Father, Frederick Conway was a feared Captain in the organization and owned Fast Freddy's, a South Detroit biker bar which was a notorious front for the Stone Crypt activities.

Amber's brother, Sean was recently released from serving an eighteen month stint at Jackson State Penitentiary for possession of methamphetamine. In reality, he had over twelve pounds of meth in his trunk when he was pinched, but favors had been called in via the Crypt to get his sentence reduced to possession non-distribute, avoiding a ten year minimum in the Federal Pen. This was a favor that put Amber's entire family on the hook to Club for many years, including herself, she feared.

Eight years ago, Amber quietly packed her things, boarded a bus for L.A. and left Detroit behind her forever, or so she hoped. Spending a lifetime consumed by the biker mentality had nearly killed her at such a young age. She'd traded one set of streets for another and found Los Angeles to be far worse in many ways. On the coast she didn't have a pack of blood-thirsty criminals watching her back. Just Uncle Benny, and in the end, Devon, her savior.

Amber rose up and walked over to the motorcycle that once belonged to her deceased husband Devon. Sometimes she joked that she loved the bike as much as him, thinking about it now made her realize she had something awesome to remember him by, something to start her new life with, besides all his cryptocurrency. She pulled out her cell phone as she expertly mounted the scooter, a feat she's been doing since birth. She quickly speed dialed the first number in her list: Uncle Benny's secret mobile.

The phone rang only twice and was abruptly answered:

"Bitch Magazine, this is Benny, how may I direct your call?" Uncle Benny's gruff voice mocked.

"That's not how it's pronounced and you know it you dumb ass. Beotch ... Bee - Otch ... Shit, whatever. Do you really have to fuck with me right now, I just buried my husband you know," Amber said smiling in relief at Uncle Benny's joking.

"Sorry Sunshine. So you really threw what was left of our boy into the ocean?" Benny asked somberly.

"I did Old Man. It was hard and I almost chickened out and kept the ashes like any other grieving widow. I went through with it though. I know it's what he wanted and I feel OK with it now that I went through with it," Amber replied staring over at the rock formation where Devon and her made love for the first time.

This was their place. Their special place where she finally opened up to someone here in L.A. Devon spent months tearing down the protections Amber had put up to hide from the rest of the world and on this beach she'd allowed him to become something no one had ever been: someone she loved back.

"How are we doing on the crypto front?" Amber asked distantly.

"Well, ZCash finally got it's head out of its ass and shot way the hell up. It's up over 38% for the day. I sold off 80% just before you called. Netted us well over $60,000 on that trade alone, Uncle Benny replied. Overall though, after expanding the server farm, paying my security guys to watch it and buying the RV and two new hogs for your girls, it's still over half a million dollars, give or take."

"Nice job Old Man. I'm so glad Devon had the energy to teach you everything he did before he passed. I don't know what I'd do without you. I sure as hell couldn't handle running the mining farm myself. You're worth every penny," Amber confided.

"You gave me a $100,000 in Bitcoin Sunshine, I never expected anything like that. I would do all this for free you know," Benny stated with exasperation.

"You're the only person on Earth I could ever trust with anything like this. Now, with Devon gone, you're the only one I'd probably trust with anything. I need you more than you know Benny," Amber confessed.

"So, are you ready to get on the road?" Uncle Benny asked.

"I guess I'm finished here, Amber replied, surveying the beachfront one last time. Vanessa has everything loaded into the RV and is probably waiting for me at Yosemite already."

"You got all that hardware I arranged for you girls? Benny asked. You're going to need that and plenty more to pull off what you're planning."

"It's all in the RV with Vanessa, Amber stated while rubbing her elbow against the loaded .38 special holstered to her ribs. I only hope when I confront Dad and Sean at Sturgis they'll be willing to bring in more firepower when needed."

"I don't suppose there's anything I could say to talk you out of all this?" Uncle Benny asked grimly.

"Not a chance in hell Benny. You should know more than anybody how it works for people like me and the members of my family and The Stone Crypt. I have to do this and Sturgis is going to be my best chance to get it done right," Amber said definitively.

"I know Sunshine. I'm just afraid for you and the other girls. You're all like family to me and I can't rid myself of the instinct to protect you all, Benny replied. Good luck and be very careful on the road. A lot of crazy assholes are heading to the same place you are right now."

"I will Uncle. I love you and will call you once I get to Yosemite," Amber replied before disconnecting the call.

Amber stared at her phone for a moment before opening up her Steemit app. One last post before leaving L.A. she thought. Devon may have known the world about mining and trading cryptocurrencies, but it was Amber's infatuation with Steemit that set her apart from what her late husband was doing. He'd bought in initially and introduced her to the blockchain based blogging platform. From day one Amber was hooked as she finally found something she could relate to when it came to accumulating crypto.

She resisted Devon's offers to buy her a ton of STEEM so she could power up immediately and be more successful on the platform. She wanted to do it from the ground up like everyone of her friends there. Amber was proud of the following and true Steem Power she was able to amass. Now she had more crypto than she knew what to do with and she still posted everyday like everyone else, under her ever-growing Steemit username: @sistercrypto

Post Title: One Last Goodbye before Heading To Surgis! Wish Me Luck!

Just wanted to post a last minute picture of my favorite spot here on
the beach at Santa Monica before heading north to Yosemite National
Park and eventually Sturgis. I love you all and PEACE OUT!

Amber pasted the url to the picture of Devon's and her spot in the rocks on the beach and hit POST.

She slowly backed her scooter into position and hit the electric start, breaking the calm silence of the crashing waves and scaring some seagulls nearby.

Rolling forward, Amber didn't look back at the beach. She knew she would return someday, but for now, it was time to leave L.A. behind her. No more stripping. No more dealing. No more anything Los Angeles injected into her life.

enter image description here

She thought about Uncle Benny, the rock that kept her alive for all these years. She loved him more than her own Father and she was adamant to do whatever it took to keep him away from that horrible homeless lifestyle he held so dear.

enter image description here

She thought about Vanessa and Nikki that would soon meet up with her in Yosemite and eventually Reno. She'd converted a ton of Bitcoin to dollars in order to buy a brand new RV and motorcycle trailer as well as replica scooters of her own for them to take to Sturgis.

enter image description here

Mostly though, she thought about Devon and the bike she was now riding. It was Devon's scooter first and truth be known, was the primary reason she was attracted to him initially. Before she saw him roll up on it outside the strip club she worked at, he was just another client that tipped her heavily. Amber hated that truth about it all, but it was reality. This cycle was all she had left of him and she decided to make it encompass every aspect of her life going forward. Born and raised a biker girl, she fell in love with the ole man riding in front of her on their scooter. Now she loved how it felt being in the saddle. That didn't bother her one bit.

Rolling up toward the highway, Amber thought about the grave mission she was setting out on. It was going to be dangerous for everyone involved and she hoped nothing bad would happen to any of them: Uncle Benny, Vanessa, Nikki, her Father, her Brother.

She had a fucking rapist to murder. Her rapist. And she wasn't going to let anything or anyone stand in her way until she saw that bastard dead.

As the sun set on the Pacific coastline, Amber said good-bye to Los Angeles the only way an Irish biker girl from Detroit knew how.

Fantastic post title. It forced me to click on it!

Thanks! I'm working on adding the Sister Crypto part colors onto a custom leather jacket. Women's leathers are hard to find to use.

Nice work. I added some comments on fiction trail.
