This caught me by surprise. At firstI didn't know where we were heading, then I felt something surreal was going on, something twisted. It turned out to be quite metaphorical and not at all dark! It's what a short story should be. Great post, @jayna.
Thank you, @steemedchitty! It’s a different sort of story than I would typically write. I usually don’t go for the surreal! But The photo did inspire me, and I confess I was remembering some of the Twilight Zone episodes of my childhood.
