... All that heard the sound of her resounding cry rushed to the scene, including Mallam Jibo, her father's loyal steward. Questions were asked, rumors arose and onlookers drew nigh increasingly.
After deliberating on the next line of action to take in saving the poor man's life, Nana agreed he should be taken to her father's house where he would be properly taken care of. Her 'on a whim' decision was only an act of good will.
Mallam Jibo carried Majid in his hands enduring the heat from the scorching rays of the hot sun as they headed home following Nana's lead.

Majid gained his consciousness shortly after he was cleaned up and had his lesions and abrasions locally dressed. He woke up gruesomely anxious to know where he was. Casting guesses into a pool of contingency.
When Nana noticed a movement in the room, she came in bearing good tidings of the alluring fura she had prepared. She was a 'dab hand' at preparing fura amongst other local delicacies.
Fortunately for the both of them, they understood the same language, Hausa. Nana explained how she found him left for dead and how she decided to bring him in out of pity.
Majid showed a disposition of gratitude. He could barely lift his arm so she decided to feed him. As he sipped the fura voraciously, Nana's mother barged in.
