"The herald of the spring" [short-fiction]

An innocent wild red rose lies in the garden of the Konvintong family. There have been three occasions this spring in which Sara, the Lord's daughter, has secretly brought her boyfriend with her. This boy loves to put flowers in Sara's hair and mouth. His presence has been invasive in the garden as have been the roses he brought himself.

"Damn roses. They are virulent red spots like measles! "Said the lord and sent them to cut.

And seven women have been murdered during the last four years in similar circumstances. They had all been turned into ominous artistic works by "one single murderer", acording to the press.

He mutilated some members such as the gardener who cuts the parts of a flower, or an animal made from a bush. But Mr. Konvintong, was always more aware of his garden, which now lies infested by the perfume of the roses he hates so much mixing with a putrid and penetrating aroma. Also invasive and unbearable as a terrible reminder.

When investigating what that smell was, he was accompanied by his workers. Under a leafy tree, they found Sara, with her decapitated head placed inside the empty stomach holding between her teeth a rose red as her blood.
