Phone Shorts: Are You Gonna Tell Him?

I love fiction. I love writing. On the web sometimes its hard to get drawn into reading a big block of text, for example, on your phone. So the following will be the first part of a series of bite sized fiction shorts designed for the mobile user. I will be creating a small series of these with the intention of maybe starting a contest at some point.

Can less than 250 words be gripping? We can but see.

Lynn looked puzzled as Amy passed something over to her. Her brain took a second to catch up before she took a sharp intake of breath. Reaching forward she circled her arms around Amy.

'You gonna tell him?'
'Dunno, What if he freaks out?'
'You have to tell him, he deserves to know.'
'Maybe.'

Amy took it back and listlessly toyed with it. Her face, creased with worry looked older than her fifteen years.

'You've got to tell him before he finds out.'
'Yeah and how would he find out?' Amy said, colour rising to her cheeks.
'How did you find out?' Lynn retorted.

Amy, shrugged her shoulders. 'Ok, I guess. Fuck, I can't even fucking spell it.'
'We can tell him together?'

Amy stood and threw the postcard from her ex onto the bed.

'Ok then. Fuck. My life is so fucking over.'
