Sitting On The Edge Of The Future #2 [Hydrokinesis and its potentials]
I started up a little discovery on the emergence of paranormal abilities humans could possess in the near future with the evolution of sophisticated technology. In this episode, we'll be looking at Hydrokinesis (ability to control water with the mind), this is also called Aquakinesis.
The usefulness of water cannot be overemphasized. As a matter of fact, over 70% of the entire earth is made up of water (according to natGeo).
Coming home to the area of plant utilization: is it possible for plants to survive without water? I'm really not too sure of that. We're not looking at that yet, but the ability of humans to control the molecules of water.
We've seen the movie animation; Avatar. There's a particular ability that really caught me; Waterbending (hydrokinesis) ability. Again, you may look at it as just Sci-Fi, but can humans replicate the same effect Scientifically?

Hydrokinesis and Chi Energy
If you're familiar with Chinese martial art, you'll probably know about Chi (Qigong) energy. I do, because of some taekwondo lessons I did some time ago.
In Qigong, you can channel your internal energy towards anything, and can also move things with the energy projections. This is like mastering mind over matter. I've seen these feats done by Qigong masters. Though it doesn't have a scientific explanation yet, I think with the achievement of telekinesis in the future, hydrokinesis will be a walkover.
Why am I so much interested in water?
Well, in the words of Master Lao Tzu:
"Nothing is softer than water; yet nothing is better in attacking hard things than water. And for this, water has no substitute" - Master Lao Tzu {paraphrase by me}
If I have this ability, what will I do with it?
Have you ever thought about turning a dry desert into a farmland? No you haven't, because there is no water to support plant life there. Well, with this ability, I'll move water with my mind (say from the pacific), and deposit it to the desert. And Boom!!! Land is ready for cultivation (humorous though). Also, I could stop flood with my mind.
