Very interesting article @blockurator I had never heard of the terminology of 'weird fiction' but have definetly been a big fan of this genre without even knowing it ;-) Edgar's stories and poems are amazing and I shall have to check out Michael Chabon is he's a new writer for me.
I love Chuck Palahniuk's books which are very much in the weird category lol
Yes, Chuck Palahniuk can be placed in the weird category. Also, Neil Gaiman, if you like fantasy elements.
Another thing, Michael Chabon has been writing for over 20 years. Mysteries of Pittsburgh was his first book. His later work is weirder, I've heard, but I haven't read his later works.
