Another great chapter, my friend! This is really shaping up to be such an awesome tale :D Seems like you're posting a chapter everyday, is that a safe assumption? The imagery and dialogue are what readers have come to expect from you, and the consistency in your writing is one of the best selling points of your work. Even though you've exhibited different writing styles for your stories, there's this connective tissue that binds them all together.
The shadow men are creepy as hell, and it doesn't help that they seem to be lifted from reality. All those figures you see in the corner of your eye. They all seem so real! The slow burn of this chapter really adds to the suspense leading up to The Scene. Great job once again, my friend! You're on a roll! :D
So far, yes a chapter a day, but weekends will be for Today Again, and I had initially intended to post something else today for happywhiskeywednesday, but I completely lost track of my days and had posted this chapter by the time I realized, ha, oh well. But I think I will generally try to keep it at four chapters a week, sun/mon/tues/th/.
I'm really glad you like it! I'm character building during this part since many of these people carry through the series, but once the story hits a pace...it hits a pace. You'll see. ;)
I can't wait! Since I've seen how you write action, I'm definitely excited once you hit the pedal to the metal! :D I'm not always online during weekends, so I'm definitely going to miss a few. Will definitely catch up with everything though.
Hey, are you still on? If so, @son-of-satire is doing a connecting story. Basically he writes a paragraph then people put in entries for a next paragraph and so on. His post is on the new page if you're interested. Looks like ezzy took part in the last one he did :)
Yeah, I saw the first round. I meant to submit an entry, and I even discussed it on discord, but never really got a reply. Never really got an invite, so I'm not super enthusiastic about sending an entry, but maybe one of these days. Cool concept though.
The son of satire one was open to everybody, he made a post and invited whoever wanted to, to jump in the comments and leave an entry. No invites necessary, I wasn't invited haha ;) If you mean the chapter thing with fisteganos, he also made a post, I think two now, asking people to join. Somebody sent him to me and a couple of others to ask because he wasn't getting a big response.
