RE: An Assassin's Tool: A Nyepsium Wars Novella -- Part Six

Magic was good and all, but in a quick scuffle, nothing was better than a falcata and spear.

And that is true in every scenario. You may have all the knowledge and the power and the odds. In theory. But when reality hits you hard, fast, dirty and unannounced, then... no fancy magic tricks.

A falcata and a spear.

I have always thought magic would take time and focus--so in a street fight, a couple of weapons could prove to be all the difference.

Yeah, pretty much what i think. As a martial arts enthusiast, i know street fighting is something very different from showing off in a dojo. I imagine using magic in a street fight would somehow follow the same principle.
