#32:Took A Patient Away

A day later the orderlies took one of Shelby’s fellow patients away. It so happened that a tiny zombie-gnat was in his hair. Shelby and his Daemon, observed first hand everything that happened. It wasn’t pretty.

In the psycho ward no one can hear you scream....or if they can no one cares. Screaming is not an unusual thing in a psych ward. The patient did not long survive administration of the new miracle drug.

So sad.

Shelby shuddered. He’d watched the whole sorry procedure via the zombie-gnat.

Once again Dr. Shaker listened to a drug pusher...er..that would be ‘a field service representative’ of a major pharmaceutical company. Pushing dope was respectable when the right people did it, he must remember to use respectable terms. They got angry when he was too honest. If they got angry his kickba....er...his gratuities were less.

He had to keep them happy. It was getting to be boring actually. All of the dru.. that is.....pharmaceutical field service representatives...seemed to have the same line of Bull...er...seemed to have the same presentation. He expected power point at any time.

So it proceeded. Yet another one of “those” patients died in agony....and another.

Ooops.
