RE: "The Fall" - Original Sci-Fi Novel (Adult Content) / Chapter 0 (Part II) - "A Hollow Cost"

in #fiction6 years ago

Hi there. @lordless.exile told me about this comment and how he would love to respond, to be engaging more, but the current Mana issue is a real problem for new people. He seems to be able to comment only three times a day at this point before he runs out.

I've been here for almost two years and I've always been a steemit cheerleader, and I've always felt it was important to recruit as many people as I can, but this experience is making me question that for the first time :( I would always say the same thing as you have here, particularly about community engagement, but how can people do that now??

Sorry, feeling a little frustrated. I appreciate curie's continuing encouragement, I know you guys are doing the best you can.

Hi! How kind of you to respond. Thank you for that. I couldn't agree with you more, this is not the first case I know of problems with Mana. I have questioned myself too about expecting engagement, especially from new users, with the actual conditions.

I believe that even a couple comments a day can make the difference. Also, there are a lot of communities that have a space on Discord, an easy to use app where there is no Mana running out that can keep us from chatting.

I understand your frustration and have felt it myself, but in times like these, it's good to reinvent our way of doing things. As a Curie curator, I do have in mind the struggles that some authors may have, and always consider blogs as a whole.

Thanks again for your comment!

:) I actually told someone the same thing in @steemmonster 's comment section, about going to discord to connect with people. Still, it's tough when a friend tells me that he was only able to reply to a few people in his comment section before running out, that he can't even comment on other's posts because of it.

I haven't experienced this myself since I believe once you hit a certain amount of sp it becomes unlimited. Or at least it seems so since I've never seen my mana drop from a hundred percent and I have days where I probably leave a good fifty comments. And that's the thing, when I started here that kind of commenting was how I got where I am now. I've never used a bidbot, paid for a single vote, and I've just broke a 71 rep, all due to the ability to chat with people all day long LOL.

Nice to meet you Zoe (good name, it's my daughter's name :) I appreciate your positivity!

I agree with you, it is tough. I find it hard to accept that we could be losing some of the good organic engagement on the platform due to Mana running out. I've seen some high rep accounts give away SP delegations to new, promising members to help them while they grow a bit.

What a coincidence that your daughter's name is Zoe too! Nice to meet you and greetings to you both :D
