The technology goes forward, but people remain people. Although the day comes closer and closer when "unfaithful dreams" could become somewhat a reality. And it's hard to find a cut and dry answer whether it will have a positive or detrimental effect on family life.
I recall how Scarlett O'Hara was always dreaming about her Asley while being married to Rhett. :)
