Two great lines I loved:

maybe she was imagining a conspiracy where there was none.

And maybe someone does not want her looking to close, was it Trish all along, and not Nan? You are very good at leading people down various rabbit holes, well good at leading me down them at any rate. I am really enjoying this story.
