I've made some in-depth research about this so I can finally build up a proper comment about this.
I googled the words You can trust Rick and got 8 350 000 hits.
The words You cannot trust Rick gave only 3 870 000 hits..
BUT!
You can't trust Rick gave 19 200 000 hits!
It seems that you can't trust Rick.
However, on the other side, using ""-around the searchwords changed this a bit.
25 700 for "You can trust Rick"
10 for "You cannot trust Rick"
886 for "You can't trust Rick"
I'd go with the trust.
"Rick is nice" - 69 500 hits
"Rick is an asshole" - 425 000 hits.
You can't argue with that. You can trust him, but he's still an asshole.
