Nigeria is a multi-ethnic society, although it is subjugated by two of the world’s most important religions. Almost half of the populace is Muslim, with about 40 percent of Nigerians following Christ. supporters of the religions live side by side in Nigeria, and traditional Islamic and Christian festivals are celebrated all the way through the country, even if it is at these days where you will observe the separation more. Christmas and Easter festivals are celebrated generally, with a diverse West African essence, and mainly of the Christians leave in the south. The core Muslim festivals are, Eid al Maulud, Eid al Fitri and Eid al Kabir, which are standard as national Nigerian holidays.
