Why we don't need Feminism in 2017

To most of course this is a really easy question to answer, we don't need feminism at all in todays world, we have been liberated as a gender and sexually as women. We are no longer required to stay at home and obey by men, we are free to chase up careers, all careers, any career we want. I personally work in a very male orientated job, I work in security. My being female doesn't hinder me and it doesn't allow me any special treatment, true equality.

This however as of late seems to have been lost in translation somewhere down the line, equality has always meant equal opportunity not equal results. But this is no longer making people happy, mostly of course, feminists. They make claim that men are given more job or school opportunities, given more chances to pass or progress and when finished they are rewarded with a higher paying job or promotion. Of course all of this is completely and utterly false. The wage gap has been debunked on more than one occasion and has been illegal for over to 60 years now, making it illegal to underpay any member of staff for their sex, race or religion.

This is something we will touch on in another post however.

Other issues constantly brought up in the feminist movement, more importantly the rape culture claims, I do believe this also needs a post of its own due to the nature of the claim but for now I will say that here, in the West, in America and in Western Europe, we most definitely do not live in a rape culture, rape is treated as disgusting, it is criminalised and it is a punishable act by law. We do not abide by it and we do not support it or reward it.

Air conditioning is not sexist (yes an actual claim made by women), manspreading isn't a power move it's anatomical, mansplaining is also not a power move it's purely additional information, stare rape isn't a thing, and some one complimenting you isn't sexual assault.

Feminism was a fantastic step forward back in the early 1920s with the suffragettes, it gave us the vote (though historically this wasn't a gendered reward but instead a class reward), second wave added on to that giving us total liberation and allowing us to be able to lead our lives as we wan as individuals.

Third wave feminism is man hating, third wave feminism is abortion loving, third wave feminism is crying wolf. We now live in a society where women are awarded more in life, more rights, abortion rights, divorce rights, reproduction rights. We are catered to when it comes to abuse whilst men are turned away and laughed at when they come forward about the abuse they may have suffered.

Only 3 male abuse shelters exist in the UK and even less in the entirety of North America, there were more but they were closed down by feminists.

We don't need feminism in 2017 but the more you look into the state of our world here, mens rights is something we do need.
