[#facechallenge] Muestranos tu cara | Show us your face [#feedbackchain - @sndbox]
Siempre me causo interes como nuestra apariencia parece no cambiar desde el punto de vista de una persona que es demasiado cercana, de esas que te ven todos los días. Por esa razón, en 2016, decidí empezar el reto de tomarme una foto todos los días con mi novia, para verlas al pasar los años, ver como habíamos cambiado, como aparecian detalles en nuestros rostros, ojeras por la falta de sueño o estrés, piel morena por tomar mucho sol, o simplemente aquellos rasgos que se van adquiriendo con el pasar del tiempo. Hubiera sido muy interesante ver el resultado, pero entre varias cosas se nos olvidó hacerlo con consistencia y lo abandonamos.
No solo me llamó la atención registrar el cambio físico en nuestras caras y poder verlo de forma secuencial, sino todo el trasfondo que ésta dinámica tiene, el cual podría acercarse a un ejercicio de auto descubrimiento, de auto aceptación; ya que vivimos en una era digital, donde estamos condicionados a modificar nuestra apariencia mediante filtros para publicarlas en las redes sociales y aparentar que todo va bien, que somos "perfectos", siempre sonrientes, siempre bellos... El solo hecho de tomarnos una fotografía todos los días, a cualquier hora, independientemente de como nos veamos, y publicarla sin ningún retoque, es una forma de luchar en contra de ese paradigma, y de crear y fomentar una relación más sana con nosotros mismos y nuestro entorno, de acercarnos más a nosotros mismos, a quienes realmente somos.
I've been always interested in how our appearance doesn't seem to change from the point of view of a person who is too close to you, one of those people who see you every day. That's why, in 2016, I decided to start the challenge of taking a daily selfie with my girlfriend every day, to see that pictures as the years went by, to see how we had changed, how details appeared on our faces, dark circles under our eyes due to lack of sleep or stress, tanning from sun exposure, or simply those features that are acquired with the passage of time. It would have been very interesting to see the result, but among several things, we forgot to do it consistently and abandoned it.
It is not only impressive to me to register the physical change in our faces and to be able to see it in a sequential way, but the whole background that this process has, which could approach an exercise of self-discovery, of self acceptance; since we live in a digital era, where we are conditioned to modify our appearance through filters to publish them in social networks and to appear that everything is going well, that we are "perfect", always smiling, always beautiful... Just taking a picture every day, at any time, regardless of how we look, and publishing it without any editing, is a way to fight against that paradigm, and to create and foster a healthier relationship with ourselves and our environment, to get closer to ourselves, to who we really are.
La idea me sigue llamando la atención, así que apartir de ahora lo haré, y lo registraré en la blockchain, donde perdurará por siempre, y espero que ustedes también puedan hacerlo conmigo.
The idea still catches my attention, so from now on I will do it, and I will record it on the blockchain, where it will last forever, and I hope you can do it with me too.

I'm going to participate in the comments @joedukeg... I know it isn't the guidelines but I'm also not comfortable with posting selfies to my blog as a post. There are reasons for this to do with what I publish on there, my style and content etc. I hope this is OK and you forgive me 😉 I will keep posting new different ones in comments every time you put up a new feedbackchain selfie challenge so that I can be part of the engagement.
