If you have your browser set to remove absolutely any stored settings it's certainly a challenge for us to store settings for you. I understand your privacy concerns, but this is a bit of a difficulty to work around unless we start storing user preferences in a centralized database (instead of locally with your browser).
Is there any way to opt out of these featured posts? Does muting them work? Honestly I'd just like to have posts I want to see in my newsfeed instead of what someone else decides I should see. The sidebar works well enough to see any important things I have missed.
If I wanted to see suggested posts I'd go back to using facebook, one of the benefits of steemit was that I only had to see the content that I chose to see.
Actually, I have read the article and comments, but the truth is, I was only interested theoretically, since I have not seen this 'featured' stuff anywhere.
Have I been spared because I use an ad and popup blocker with my browser, plus I entered Permissions and limited those also. I don't know what I did to spare myself these changes, I'm just grateful I am using them amd I hope they continue to spare me the agro.
