#featheredfr... oh well; birds inside!

Busy days, less posting time... and a #featheredfriday Sunday style! So, instead on focusing on a single species, decided to make an all-national post and share some of the birds you can find in the Alentejo coastal line, the best beach area in Portugal for me.

Well, these you can find basically anywhere! As a curiosity, there are four different species of sparrows in Portugal; they look similar, but still, different species!

Now, here's one that I normally only find near the beach:

And here's another one very common in Alentejo; too bad I don't have a decent photo, I love the colours on this one:

And for the finale, one of my favourites; he looks really cute, but do you know what he does to his preys? He impales them!! It's now considered a different species from the grey shrike, that can only be found in the Iberian peninsule and south of France.

So there you have, a few portuguese birds. Good luck in the birding sessions!
