Featheredfriday
Hello Steemians
Thanks to @keithboone for #featheredfriday
The female mallard is a familiar dabbling duck
that has a light brown body, a black with a touch
of orange bill and the blue “speculum” patch in
the wing.
They are found .......
in N America, Europe, Asia and even Australia.
I was just watching a small flock this morning down on my pond. I bet they are happy that most of our snow has melted away,it must make it so much easier for them to find food.

The female is often overlooked because the male is more flashy... but the female is beautiful too. Look at that little patch of purple!
That's exactly what I was thinking, I saw the purple and took the shot.
Howdy sir karbon! That's a great photo to highlight the color on the wing. Is that one sitting on ice? Brrrr.
Yes, on ice, but it looked quite comfortable..
yes sir it did, I guess they have good insulation! It was a great shot.
Its really pretty dabbling duck and you are catching it nicely.
