White-breasted Nuthatch
Hello Steemians
The easy to recognise white-breasted nuthatch is
very friendly. I have seen them literally eat out of
an outstretched hand.
Very agile, they will creep along a tree trunk going...
head first, as in the above pic.
Found in southern Canada, most of the U.S. and
central Mexico.
If food is abundant, they will cache seeds in the ....
bark of nearby trees, to use at a later date.

We had a laugh today at one that was sitting on the bird feeder and just stayed there as my daughter approached it and she thought he was being very friendly. Turns out he was asleep and when he awoke and saw how close she was he flew up into the nearby tree and yelled at her for the longest time! Great photos!
