Thank you for clarifying that @joanstewart i know names of animals like that's a bird or that's a eagle but it's particular species name forget it to many to try and remember.
This Africa safari tour by memory took place i think in Serengeti National Park, in Northern Tanzania it was about 4 years ago.
An area I would love to visit you captured some amazing shots.
I have only ever seen Vultures at a great distance in Zimbabwe, eagles, hawks and other larger birds I have numerous birding books (travel with me).
Most southern African birds one remembers once seen, always interesting to know where sightings happen, you never know if you lucky enough to be in the area.
WOW...living in Africa so much closer then me it certainly is a place to visit so much wildlife there i would love to do another safari trip there in the near future :)
If ever you decide to visit South Africa select the months of May to September (winter months, shorter days, less heat and humidity on the East Coast). Suggest quieter parks like Hluhluwe/iMfolozi National parks which are close to the iSimangaliso Wetlands lands park for at least ten days to enjoy the area. Most people head to Kruger National Park being well known, there are many smaller parks in South Africa offering just as much wildlife in quieter regions.
Many excellent tours offered from Cape Town all the way up through Namibia, Botswana onto Victoria Falls well worthwhile considering as well. West coast visit would most probably be better in the months January to May, they have winter rains.
