Fantasy NBA 3/17/2018

From time to time, I want to write a short blog about my ventures in DFS. I have been actively playing since 2011, and have been lucky enough to attend a couple of larger nationwide tournaments.

Today, there is a wealth of information available to people of all skill sets, so setting yourself apart, is becoming more difficult, and some argue that the sharks, who can put in 20-30K per day, are the only ones who can make money.
I know it was a lot easier 5 years ago, when all the information needed to value players, were a lot harder to come by.

I now have a toddler, family- and work commitments, so that I do not have a lot of time to do research, but I still try and utilize the same resources that I have in a long time.

Hopefully writing about the process, will help me become better at DFS and consistently profitable (O:

Today's lineup on Fantasydraft:

Dennis Smith - Too cheap compared to his production and he is playing Brooklyn, who have been atrocious against PG's. He is an easy lock for 30+ points.

Jamal Murray/Will Barton - Not many will have this guard combo against Memphis, who people still view as an elite defensive team. They are not anymore, and they have been especially atrocious to guards. Gary Harris is also ruled out for DEN, so both should pick up extra minutes. Win/Win/Win.

Lebron James - CLE is still depleted and Chicago is almost as depleted. Chicago will have no one that can even hope to stop the king, as Markanen have been ruled out, so the defense will be left to Bobby Portis, who will be asked to play center today. James easily have the highest ceiling today - yes - even over Anthony Davis.

All players on Golden State - The Warriors will be without Durant, Curry and Klay. Omri Casspi got injured last game, so the Warriors will only be able to dress 8 healthy bodies. Young, Cook and, especially, Draymond Green, will have a ton of value today and be asked to play 35+ minutes. You can make a case for anyone on the Warriors, but I prefer the three above.
