It is really sickening what is done, supposedly "in our best interests" or "in the best interests of the child," often without any recourse for the victims. And usually... all because some "institution" just wants to make money, and so the child becomes little more than a piece of property to be handed around.

Thanks, @whitelightxpress. You're right. And I was wondering about that phrase - you know what they're like - does the word "interest"in that particular case refer to interest as in money? Increasingly, it seems, children are seen as assets.
