The grandmother who took care of two grandchildren was sentenced for the lack of checks for food!

I didn't believe my eyes when I saw this story but it is our life! Reality!

A poor old granny was taking about her grandkids during 10 long and complicated years, and what did she get in result? Admiration? Respect and praise from the state?

No! She is a criminal now!! And she has to give back 1 million rubles!

The court sentenced an old woman for 2 years but thanks God it's a conditional term so she won't be prisoned now.
A pensioner Nadezhda Bulatova formed custody of 2 grandkids 10 years ago and received money from the state for bringing them up.

But now the CPS blamed a 70-year-old woman for embezzlement because she didn’t provide checks when she bought her grandchildren clothes, food and medicine.

10 years passed! What has made them to touch this old woman only now??

Nadezhda says she didn't get any information from the CPS 10 years ago about her duty to show all checks and bills of their life, and now she is made a criminal who has stolen money from the kids!

The mother of kids was deprived of her parental rights, and the old woman had to take care of poor kids - Olesya and Alexandr who is sick with cerebral palsy.

Nadezhda is their only guardian. And her life wasn't easy at all - she was alone, and the boy was sick.

She got about 50,000 rubles in total every month (allowance for the kids) - about 800$.

For the lack of reports the court found her guilty of misappropriation of the property. The 70-year-old pensioner was assigned to 2.5 years conditionally.

But where were the CPS during all these 10 years? Why didn't they explain the granny all rules of responsibility for this state money?!

The court also calculated that the grandmother owed her grandchildren 1 million rubles. Now her pension is automatically sent to grandchildren's passbooks. They can withdraw money when they are 18.
By the way, the girl will be 18 very soon, and at last the Granny will get some help and care as well...

The regional prosecutor's office was shocked after this court decision as well. Prosecutors filed an appeal and achieved the result: now the case is likely to be closed. But the pension will probably still be transferred to the grandchildren’s accounts.

So where are these fighters for honesty and responsibility (the CPS) when they are really needed?? Why do they appear only when they need to blame somebody or take kids away and ruin families??
