New Oregon Law Does Not Bode Well For Parents- Anywhere

You may remember Oregon as the first state to allow doctor assisted suicide... always on the cutting edge of medical overreach bordering on outright insanity- Oregon will now require home visits by medical "professionals" for all children upon leaving the hospital. This latest bit of unconstitutionality comes from Governor Kate Brown, a left-wing ideologue who believes that government should intercede into every aspect of life. Brown, one of the most corrupt governors in the US has unilaterally decided that "several health initiatives aimed at children’s behavioral (mental) health under the oversight of the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations, a 'uniquely Oregon approach to blending a wide array of health services under one umbrella.'” Like assisted suicide, what begins in Oregon will spread like a cancer throughout other states.

The Beaverton Valley Times interviewed Patrick Allen, the director of the Oregon Health Authority, who reportedly expressed excitement at the prospect of requiring home visits of all new parents, including adoptive parents:

When the program is complete, every new parent — this includes adoptions — would receive a series of two or three visits by someone like a nurse or other health care practitioner.

The visits could include basic health screenings for babies; hooking parents up with primary care physicians; linking them to other services; and coordinating the myriad childhood immunizations that babies need.

A marvelous way to push mandatory vaccinations. " Allen made it clear that they were targeting all children, not just troubled families:

“This isn’t something for people in trouble. This is stuff all kids need.” Allen said."

Once again government becomes the ultimate arbiter of what is good and proper for children, not the parents... it's the "nanny state" at its worst. " Given what we have reported here at Health Impact News, and especially on our MedicalKidnap.com website, can we really trust that medical professionals employed by the government who come into our homes are going to actually benefit our children and families?"

The 4th Amendment is very explicit about the state entering someone's home, and more importantly what or whom may be removed:

What about the 4th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which the Cornell Law School states “originally enforced the notion that ‘each man’s home is his castle,'” and says:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. [Emphasis added]

Not only is a warrant based on probable cause- in this case there must be evidence of abuse or neglect- necessary, the assumption in this case is that all parents must be guilty. This is warrantless search based on ideological (that only the state is capable of parenting) premises. This goes beyond Fascism.

Is this proposed bill for universal home visits possibly just another way for the State to collect funds, and to potentially remove children from their homes and place them into the lucrative foster care and adoption system? What else could it be? There is no presumption of innocence... this places people in a position where they have to defend themselves from the state for the crime of having a child. This is just another stepping stone toward totalitarianism where all individuals are merely property of the state. No good can come from laws of this sort- except for the state who stands to reap the rewards of generous federal funds for removing children from loving homes- with no regards whatsoever for the long-term consequences for the children. This is just another government get rich quick scheme... and it's likely to spread when other states see how profitable it turns out for Oregon.

This is so silly why would all parents need so many of these visits, talk about presure...

It isn't about the kids, it's about the government taking over everyone's life!

Horrible news. I have said for a long time, they think they own us. Will we ever reach a point where enough people push back and let them know they don't? You would think at some point their thugs in law enforcement, military, judicial etc would understand they are property to those who push this crap like the rest of us and refuse to cooperate in these schemes.

They are pretty close now to just telling us we are owned and if they want your kids bring them to such and such office at such and such time. The public has been cowed to the point most would cooperate I imagine.

I'm afraid you're right... there's supposed to be the "Oath Keepers" in the military and LE... but I have zero faith in them right now.

This is an unconstitutional outrage.

I utterly oppose it, and will all my days. I will fight this from a prison cell if necessary. I have had run ins with CPS in Oregon before, and ended their attempts to interfere with my family by standing a well shot target next to my locked gate, and posting a sign on the gate stating that absent signed permission from the landowner stating the date and time of egress, trespassers might be shot, because this is a live fire zone, and I may not know you're here.

Last time they ever bothered me.

This is one major reason I don't live in cities.

Thanks!

I oppose it as well... That's why I keep writing about this stuff, if enough people wake up maybe someone will do something!

Woah, this is really scary. I gave birth alone at home to avoid any medical professionals having any part of my labour and baby. I live in South Africa and we thankfully are not anywhere near the government being this involved in all the citizens' lives. I would really say that people should leave that state!! For their children's sake.

I agree... I'm afraid though that once Oregon does it other states will follow suit. That's what happened with assisted suicide.

God bless you, R. Great post as always. Thanks!!

(praying...actually a group of us are....)

Love ya, bro.

Thank you my friend!
